Network issue in POP Brueve impacting some of our customers Tuesday 8th September 2020 11:12:00


We are currently experiencing a technical issue on our network in POP Brueve which can affect connectivity for some of our customers. Our teams are working hard to restore connectivity. Belnet customers can contact our Service Desk at 02 790 33 00. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The maintenance we planned at 09/09/2020 06H00 CEST was a success and there was no business impact.

Whilst we are still in the process of investigating the exact RCA, we'd like to limit the possible impact, basically by shutting down and/or migrating links from the affected line card. This to prevent re-occurence until a satisfactory workaround is in place. Therefore we have planned an emergency change:

  • When: 09/09/2020 06h00 - 07h00 AM CEST
  • Impact: none, the links will be removed transparently and no traffic impact is foreseen
  • What: BNIX backbone link will be removed from the affected line card

The issue has been resolved by rebooting the impacted card and the situation is stable now. The root cause hasn't been found yet, our team will investigate further with our supplier.
