Fiber cut Wednesday 10th March 2021 15:23:00


Due to a fiber cut in the Brussels area (Nord Station & WTCIII) some of our customers are experiencing connectivity problems to the Belnet network. Our teams are going on site. Belnet customers can contact our Service Desk at 02 790 33 00. We apologize for the inconvenience.

All fibers are spliced. All connections should be operational now. The situation is back to normal and from Belnet side incident is now resolved. Please contact our Service Desk at 02 790 33 00 in case you should still experience any problems.

Our engineers who are on site are not yet allowed to enter the location, the police themselves have expanded the barrier/blockade to several more surrounding streets.

At the moment we have no further information about a time when our technicians can start making an inventory of the damage.

Our technicians who arrived on site were stopped by the fire brigade and the police. At the moment there is an underground fire that needs to be extinguished, possibly as a result of a high voltage explosion. There's no ETR yet as our repair team has to wait till the police allows access to the street.
